Join Liz in Somerset for one more event that is sure to delight in plenty of time for Christmas gifts or just pure indulgence. A weekend shopping event at the stunning location of Compton House, Axbridge. Liz presents the latest Boa collection and gorgeous silk corsages. These will be available to buy or commission in bespoke colours and fibre blends along with antique silk kimonos and other exquisite accessories from Liz's travels in Japan. Successful Launch For SAW

Liz joined fellow artists and guests at the launch of Somerset Art Weeks. She demonstrated feltmaking techniques and signed copies of her book Nuno Felt and opened bookings for the felt workshop sessions to be held in her studio on both Mondays during the event. Her exhibition CONNECTIONS II runs for the duration of SAW 2009 and shows fabulous textile creations from UK and Japan (Venue 83). Fosse Way Magazine

English Eclectic meets Japanese Aesthetic

Following her succcessful solo exhibition in Kyoto last November, Liz has invited two international textile artists from Japan, Kazuko Yamanaka and Kae Kawai, to exhibit with her at the Bishop's Palace in Wells. The work demonstrates innovative designs in metal, paper and wool and expresses each artist's individual voice to provide a stimulating and exciting exhibition. The exhibition is open daily 10:30 - 5pm (Sat until 1pm) from 2nd to 14th August. Admission charge to the Bishop's Palace applies.

Open Studio Workshops

Once again, feltmaker and textile designer Liz Clay is joining over 270 artists across the county for Somerset Art Works annual event. During SAW '09 Liz will be running four 2-hour workshops. Selected for Origin 09

For the fourth year in succession Liz has been selected for Origin, The London Contemporary Craft Fair to be held at Somerset House, London in October. Origin takes place over two weeks and Liz's week is yet to be announced. www.craftscouncil.org.uk
