A weekend shopping event at the stunning location of Compton House, Axbridge. Liz presents the latest Boa collection and gorgeous silk corsages. These will be available to buy or commission in bespoke colours and fibre blends along with antique silk kimonos and other exquisite accessories from Liz's travels in Japan.

Successful Launch For SAW

Liz joined fellow artists and guests at the launch of Somerset Art Weeks. She demonstrated feltmaking techniques and signed copies of her book Nuno Felt and opened bookings for the felt workshop sessions to be held in her studio on both Mondays during the event. Her exhibition CONNECTIONS II runs for the duration of SAW 2009 and shows fabulous textile creations from UK and Japan (Venue 83). Fosse Way Magazine

Following her succcessful solo exhibition in Kyoto last November, Liz has invited two international textile artists from Japan, Kazuko Yamanaka and Kae Kawai, to exhibit with her at the Bishop's Palace in Wells. The work demonstrates innovative designs in metal, paper and wool and expresses each artist's individual voice to provide a stimulating and exciting exhibition. The exhibition is open daily 10:30 - 5pm (Sat until 1pm) from 2nd to 14th August. Admission charge to the Bishop's Palace applies.

Liz contributes to book and exhibition

Liz is delighted to contribute to artist Kate Lynch's three year project on sheep in the south west. The fully illustrated book "Sheep - from lamb to loom" by Kate Lynch accompanies an exhibition of the same name. The book includes paintings, drawings, journal entries and extracts from interviews with sheep farmers and craftspeople. More information on Kate Lynch's website
Japan Success

Exhibition in Dubai

Liz is the invited textile artist for The National Jewelery Designer and Maker 10th anniversary exhibition in Dubai. She will attend the opening of the exhibition and give masterclasses in feltmaking techniques. Paris Fashion Week

Liz's felt opens the Stella McCartney show at Paris Fashion Week. Three pieces in soft merino wools of pale chalk with storm grey motifs were presented to create a weightless delicate and warm cocoon. Fine layers of colour gave a soft iridescent feel. Online review in style.com
Selected for California Exhibition

Liz's boa design has been selected for "Wearable Expressions 2008", the sixth biennial international exhibition in the series featuring the ultimate in wearbale art. The exhibition runs from 22nd February to 20th April in the Beckstrand and Norris Galleries at the Palos Verdes Art Center, California, USA.
